Thurs Sept 16-Sun 19, 2010 Organized by Four Quarters and The Ohio Burn Unit The Art of Fire Performance Oxidation Arts is an intensive four day experience in the Art and Science of Fire Performance. Taught by working professionals in the Fire Arts for Fire Artists of all levels of experience, from the basic through the advanced; and including exhibitions of techniques and special burns that are rarely seen outside of the professional performers world. Our emphasis is on the development of the personal skills, as artist, as performer and as a technician of the Fire Arts; that become a mutual gift, freely given, within the circle of performance. Our container is one of the most naturally beautiful and culturally progressive non-profit camps on the East coast, a place where the principles of ecological sustainibility and nature based spirituality are a daily practice. We are a troupe of performance artists specializing in making every event the hottest in town. All of our shows revolve around the central theme of fire and flame, adding that extra spice to every exhibition we are a part of. Our group includes fire breathers, dancers, stilt walkers, and spinners. We can cater to the needs of any venue or theme necessary, and can provide anywhere from two to six professional performers.
The Ohio Burn Unit is dedicated to safe, unique presentations of ornate skill. With the many different combinations of routines and performances that we offer, we are sure to turn heads everywhere we perform. Our promotional video will provide a feel for the sort performance sets that we specialize in.
