Biography:
Beefy's implement of choice is the fire staff. Focusing on honing his skills with this single implement for the past seven years, he has become the Ohio Burn Unit's premiere staff spinner. However, not to be limited to one single toy, he has also maintained an extensive skill set with several others, including poi, nunchakus, rope dart, and swords.
Beefy graduated with two degrees from the University of Akron in 2006; one in Psychology and one in Philosophy. Today, he spends his days writing software as a web developer, and many of his nights are spent studying martial arts at Asian Martial Arts, Inc. in Medina, OH. He currently trains under Senseis Joe Timpone and Brian Tawney in the art of Aikido, and Sensei Al Lowe in the art of Iaido.
Other hobbies include running, Frisbee Golf (home course Rosco Ewing in Medina, OH), bowling and shooting pool. He is also ordained as a reverend by the Universal Life Church.
